What an AI Video Ad Actually Costs in Dubai

Almost nobody publishes real numbers for this, so here is the structure underneath them, and the four things that actually move the price.

By Sohaib Ali Khan, Founder

Search for what an AI video ad costs in Dubai and you get two kinds of answer. Software companies quote you a monthly subscription, which is the price of the tool and not the price of the work. Agencies quote you nothing at all and ask you to book a call.

Neither is useful when you are trying to budget. So here is the structure underneath the number, and what actually moves it.

The tool is not the cost

A generation credit costs cents. If the tool were the cost, an AI video ad would be nearly free, and the people selling you subscriptions are quietly relying on you believing that.

The cost of an AI video ad is everything either side of the generation. Working out what the ad needs to say. Building a reference set so the output looks like your brand and not like everyone else's. Generating far more than you will use. Throwing most of it away. Editing what survives into something with a beginning and an end. Grading it so the shots match. Cutting the variants each platform needs.

Generation became cheap. Judgement did not. That gap is the entire invoice.

Four things move the price

How much has to stay consistent. This is the single biggest driver and almost nobody asks about it upfront. A mood film with abstract imagery is straightforward. A film where the same bottle appears in nine shots is a different job. Same label, same proportions, same finish, every time. Consistency is where the hours go. The tools still drift, and every drift is a reshoot someone has to catch.

How many variants you need. This is where AI production genuinely breaks the old economics. In traditional production, a second cut means a second edit and often a second shoot day. Here the setup cost dominates and marginal variants are comparatively cheap. For a single AI video ad, the saving is modest. Need nine aspect ratios, two languages and four competing hooks? Then the saving is large.

How finished it has to be. A social-first cut that lives for three weeks is not the same build as something running on a screen at a mall for a year. The second needs resolution, grade and real finish. It also needs someone willing to say a shot is not good enough yet.

Whose footage and whose faces. Using a real product, a real location or a recognisable person brings licensing and permissions with it. Fully synthetic is cleaner legally and cheaper, but less specific. That trade is a commercial decision, not a technical one.

Where it costs more than people expect

An AI video ad runs over budget in three places, consistently.

Revisions are not free, despite what the speed suggests. Changing one element inside a generated shot usually means regenerating it. Then it has to be re-matched to everything around it. Structural changes are the expensive kind, so front-load the decisions.

Anything a customer will inspect closely still wants a camera. Fabric texture, liquid, reflective surfaces, food. AI is improving at all of these and is not there yet. That detail is exactly what a buyer zooms in on.

Regulated categories carry review overhead. Healthcare, financial services and anything making a performance claim need the claims checked before the pixels, and that review is real time on the clock.

Where it costs far less

Concept exploration, which used to mean a week of storyboards, is now an afternoon of moving images. You see the idea instead of imagining it, and you kill the weak ones earlier.

Volume, as covered above. The thirtieth variant costs a fraction of the first.

Reshoots that were previously catastrophic become ordinary. Changing the season, the colourway or the background no longer means getting a crew back.

What to ask before accepting any quote

Ask what happens when a shot comes back wrong. Ask how many rounds are included and what counts as a round. Ask who owns the output and what the tool's commercial terms permit. That varies by tool and by plan. Ask whether the price includes the platform variants or whether those are extra.

And ask to see something the studio made itself rather than something it admires. That one question separates most of the market.

Why we are not publishing a price list

Because a number without a brief is a guess, and the guess would be wrong in both directions. A single hero film with strict product consistency can cost more than thirty social variants. The honest answer is that scope drives price far more than duration does.

What we will do is give you a scoped figure before you commit, with the assumptions written down. Then you can compare it against anyone else's on equal terms. You can see the kind of work it applies to in the portfolio, and what else sits around it in services.

If you want that scoped, tell us what you are making and roughly when it needs to be live.

One last thing worth knowing before you spend anything: both Meta and TikTok now require AI-generated advertising content to be disclosed, and the requirements are specific about what gets labelled and how. Read Meta's advertising standards before your campaign goes into review, not after. A rejected ad two days before launch is the most expensive kind of cheap production.
